Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal Stone Review
When I decided I was going to remove as much single use plastic from our lives as possible, I went to every room in the house and made a list of the things I had to find replacements for. Well, primarily for it`s versatility — the many uses of coconut oil make it super easy to reap its health benefits in all areas of my life. You don`t have to use a different stick everyday, but once it`s time to get a new stick, choose a different brand or scent. I did experience a burning sensation when I first used it but I dumped it all back in a bowl, added a bit more coconut oil and more corn starch. We mix this up without any essential oils and it has no scent that a normal nose can detect, but I guess that might depend on the brand of coconut oil you choose.
Id advise diabetics to find a substitute for corn/arrowroot starch and use tea tree essential oil as its an antifungal. This worked wonderfully in the beginning, then the baking soda became too much and actually made my underarms raw and inflamed. Smells great, never need to reapply in a day, and this recipe fills 2 old deodorant containers. It`s a vegetable wax that is supposed to make a great substitute for beeswax in natural recipes. I`ve just made it, melting the 2T coconut oil; and adding about 3 drops castor oil like I read somewhere, if not here. Others have luck with a crystal deodorant that you can find at health food stores.
I use baking soda for many of my DIY recipes, but I think it may be too harsh for the underarms. Natural deodorant is the best option that one can walk with which is less costly and free from harmful elements used as ingredient in its production. I melt the coconut oil in the microwave until it`s a liquid and add the corn starch and baking soda 6:1 ratio to the melted oil. First take your coconut oil, beeswax pellets and either cocoa butter or shea butter and heat them up. Use an old sauce pan or a glass pyrex cup over simmering water, and heat until the ingredients start to melt together. Found this blog after researching my horrible burn from Tom`s of Maine deodorant.
I will say that my best friend used the same recipe and LOVES it. but she`s a little more tolerant to perfumes and baking soda. Straight baking soda is too strong to apply directly to underarms, but it is incredibly effective at preventing odor. I put a little puddle of coconut oil in the palm of my hand, then add a few drops of palmarosa essential oil.
If you have very sensitive skin, try substituting arrowroot for the baking soda or for a portion of the

just one thing i dont find it leaves her glossy very clean but not glossy and i think we now need to make a homemade conditioner. I have one like this from Target and use it for all my essential oil concoctions. I don`t smell it at all in my deodorant and I have a very strong sense of smell! A company that makes a natural deodorant emailed me this: Corn starch can contain many chemicals and alum salts from the soil.\" I use arrowroot powder now - but honestly, I`m not sure it`s working quite as well. Mix about 1/4 c. baking soda and 1/4 c. cornstarch or arrowroot starch in a small bowl.
I never really noticed that I smelt bad and I get close and willing friends to smell my armpits from time to time to check whether the deodorant works and they didn`t notice any bad odours. If your sweating problem is becoming so embarrassing that it's causing stains on your clothing, apply your deodorant as usual and dab a little talcum powder to the area. This

Antiperspirant, for instance, should be applied at night, notes the Mayo Clinic website. Fact: Even my manly-man Stuart has been using this deodorant and we have had NO smellies.
